Susan Allen, CFP & Chris Tamagno

Susan Allen, Certified Financial Planner and  Certified Long-Term Care Specialist, is the 2nd-generation Principal of this woman-owned company, and has been providing independent financial planning and advice to corporate,  family, and individual clients for over 30 years.  Along with her business partner, Chris Tamagno, Certified Long-Term Care Specialist, the team is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in their relationships with clients. They take the time to get to know you, to understand your current finances, your investment portfolio, and your financial goals. Then they get to work to build a strategy to  grow and protect your financial legacy. CFP professionals have met extensive training and experience requirements, and commit to the CFP Board's ethical standards that require them to put their clients' interests first.

Susan Allen, CFP

Certified Financial Planner & Certified Long-Term Care Specialist

Susan began her career as an Agent with Lincoln Investment Planning, where she was a member of the firm’s President’s Club in recognition of her professional accomplishments. She served as advisor to employees of nonprofit organizations in Philadelphia and Bucks County schools and hospitals. She later became a Registered Representative of FSC Securities Corporation, where she was elected to the Managing Field Associates Board and worked directly with the corporation’s management team. She continues to serve her clients, and enjoys the family-like relationships that have developed over her career. Susan is affiliated with LTC Solutions: A Krause Company, the leading full-service national, group long-term care brokerage firm offering a complete long-term care solution.  Founded in 1996, LTC Solutions was acquired in 2021 by The Krause Agency, a national wholesaler of insurance products used in the elder care industry. With over 30 years of experience, and 800 active agents across the US, Krause writes $400M in premium annually.

A resident of Yardley, Pennsylvania, Susan chartered and is President of the Bucks County Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. She is also a member of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, and a member of 100 Women Who Care, a Bucks County non-profit organization.

She is a frequent charity walk participant, most recently completing the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Philadelphia. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and son-in-law visiting with her extended family, and traveling.

Chris Tamagno

Certified Long-Term Care Specialist

Chris joined The Capital Legacy, in early 2006. A graduate of West Chester University in Pennsylvania, Chris is a knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and intellectual investment planner.  With 15 years of industry experience, Chris has consistently found success through his effective communication skills and unique ability to navigate the details.  

 

Chris enjoys being partnered with Susan Allen as they share a mindset of focusing on their client’s future and retirement income. The key to the Capital Legacy’s success can be attributed to Chris and Susan’s simple yet highly effective approach to retirement planning. Their ability to listen and work directly with the client to implement effective investment strategies helps their clients achieve comfortable retirements. Chris and Susan are attentive to the needs and financial position of each individual client. In addition to the results they achieve for their clients, the partners consider their regular outreach and responsiveness to clients and their needs as a high priority.

Laura Heflin

Certified Long-Term Care Specialist

Laura is an Insurance Specialist certified in Long-Term Care. Her CLTC designation is recognized and supported by the American College, CFP Board, NAIFA, NAHU and major insurance carriers. As an insurance specialist, Laura has participated in several healthcare symposiums speaking on panels of healthcare professionals about the benefits of long-term care insurance. 

 

Prior to joining the Capital Legacy’s Long-Term Care Division, Laura worked at Indus Interface, LLC as a Coordinator for EB-5 funding projects in the United States. A graduate of West Virginia University’s College of Human Resources and Education, Laura received her insurance license and Certified Long-Term Care designation in 2012. She is a founding Board Member of the Bucks County American Business Women’s Association, and an active member of the Bucks County non-profit organization, 100 Women Who Care. A resident of Philadelphia, Laura supports her community by participating in organized 5k runs for charities.

Susan Allen and her team have brought together an expert Long-Term Care Advisory Group to help clients navigate through a long-term care journey. Advisory Group members include: Lynne Kelleher, Tammy Elfort, and Jeannie Vitale RN (ret.).

Tammy Elfort

Community Liaison for JEVS Care at Home

Tammy Elfort is a successful business development professional working in both non-profit and for-profit sectors. As the Community Liaison for JEVS Care at Home, Tammy works to raise community awareness of JEVS’ integrated support services for disabled and aging people in six Pennsylvania counties. Tammy is the former Director of Community Relations for Juniper Village, a senior living LifePlan Community serving residents of Bucks County, PA for more than 30 years. She is the founder of Pro CPR/AED Solutions Inc., a company focused on educating and training first responders, parents, co-workers and neighbors to act in a first-aid emergency. Tammy served as the Director of Health and Safety Service at Team Life, Inc., one of the most established and trusted names in emergency health training and products. Team Life offers hundreds of courses for healthcare providers as well as consumers. Tammy began her career as a Health and Safety Manager with the American Red Cross in the state of New Jersey.

Lynne Kelleher

Bucks County Real Estate Advisor

An accomplished real-estate professional, Lynne helps people in central Bucks County buy or sell what is usually their largest, single asset - their home. She ispart data analyzer, market positioner, marketing guru, negotiator, psychologist, stager, comedian, cajoler, advocate and general hand-holder. Lynne has been helping people buy and sell homes for a long time; not only is she very good at it, but she also has a good time doing it (to her clients’ delight).

 

A straight talker who takes her position as a trusted advisor seriously, Lynne has special programs in place to assist Seniors. She offers a free Home Evaluation Service to help people ready their homes for sale, provides staging services for all of her listings, and guarantees her services. She has also worked hard to cultivate relationships with a network of skilled, human resources to make the process as smooth as possible for her clients. While licensed to practice anywhere in Pennsylvania, Lynne’s primary focus is on Central Bucks County, especially Northampton Township, Newtown Township, and Council Rock, Central Bucks, and Neshaminy School District homes.

Jeannie Vitale

A retired RN with expertise in palliative and hospice care

Jeannie Vitale is a retired RN with expertise in palliative and hospice care. As a certified hospice and palliative care nurse, Jeannie was a hospice nurse liaison for Heartland Hospice. In addition to working with patients and their families to ensure their questions and concerns about palliative and hospice care options were answered, Jeannie also worked with physicians, nurses and care facilities providing expert assistance regarding patient eligibility, and continuity of care. Jeannie supported patients, their families, and their care teams to ensure continuity of care. 

 

Jeannie moved from Heartland to join St. Mary Medical Center as a palliative care RN working with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, hospital staff, and providers. In addition to ensuring patient care coordination, Jeannie worked with patients on advanced directives, and held family meetings to ensure patients and their families were aware of care options. Jeannie interacted with case managers, nursing staffs, and physicians as well as hospice and palliative care agencies on a daily basis. Her knowledge of palliative care and hospice agencies helped Jeannie discuss those agencies best able to meet specific needs with patients and their families. Today, Jeannie is an expert resource available to the Susan Allen Team’s financial and long-term care clients.
